Toxic relationships can really take a negative toll on an individual and the longer you stay in the the more difficult they are to get out of. Here we propose a number of steps to take to get out of a toxice relationship.
1. Admit it’s a Toxic Relationship and Step Out of The Denial
This is usually the most difficult part and it may also be very hurtful emotionally but once you’ve been able to conclude and make the decision that you’re in a toxic relationship and you want to get out of it you’d be better for it.

2. Seek Help
Everyone needs help from time to time, there is never shame in asking for help from real friends and loving and supportive family member or from a professional. Talking to somebody supportive about the challenges you’re going through might just be the push you need to make the final decision of getting help.
I put seeking help before getting out because the reality is most times people in such relationship may not be strong or confident enough to go through the whole process alone without help, but if you fell you can, that’s fine and good too.

3. Get out
After getting help and there’s a support system to fall back on, then you can take the bold step of getting out of the relationship. There are many ways to do leave the relationship, personally I suggest telling the other person one-on-one. You may want to have the discussion with the person or people involved in a public place like a restaurant or an open park. This is just in case the partner in the relationship becomes violent or you begin to second guess yourself, then the family or friend present can provide moral support. Also when you do this, do well not cast blames. You may express yourself but ensure to be the bigger person and walk way as peaceably as possible.
There are cases where personal encounters are not advice, in such a case you can leave the relationship through a mail, text, letter or note or sometimes send a common friend to the person, this could be to avoid conflict or violence.
