A great marriage is not far from you. That's if you know what to do. If you don't, it can become hell. In this Part 3 of the series, I bring you 15 more nuggets of truth to help you in your (future) marriage:
31. If he is nice to you but not nice to anybody else, he is nice to you for a reason, not nice as a person.
32. Most verbal and physical abuse has its root in poor communication skills.
33. In the long run, she will not respect you more than she does her father and he will not treat you better than he does his mother.
34. Why on earth will you marry a man who thinks women are necessary evils or have little respect for women?
35. If you want to build a happy home don't use a harsh word when a soft word can do. In relationship 99 percent of the time a soft word will do.
36. If you want an enjoyable marriage, don't marry the man whose main motivation to marry is to have children; don't marry a woman whose only use for men is as ATM.
37. Don't think he will stop beating you if you keep being sympathetic to him and blaming yourself for provoking his anger. You're just reinforcing his irresponsible until you would have accepted his beating you as normal and thereby become entrapped in the relationship.
38. You are to be pitied if all you have to keep a man is sex. When it comes to marriage men think of "wife material." ( forgive my use of language).
39. If you are a product of divorced parents, be very careful to not hate one of your parents or you might be sentencing yourself to a divorce as well. Forgiveness is what will set you free.
40. For the safety of your marriage there must be at least one person that both of you respect enough to accept what he says even when you or your spouse don't like what he says.
41. By chance you met your ex and exchanged phone numbers, yet you never mentioned the incidence to your husband (wife). Don't be surprised the day you sleep with your ex.
42. As you prepare for marriage, you will do well to have a marriage mentor as this opens you up to much learning and patterning of you marriage for success.
43. There is much power in the simple word "No." The bar that you set is the bar that men will meet.
44. If you are wise you will accept your husband's mother as your mother and if you love her you won't have to fear that there is a competition between your husband's love for you and his love for his mother. What's the sense in making your husband feel like he has to choose between you and his mother?
45. Particularly for girls, if you don't value yourself, you are most likely going to be undervalued or abused in a relationship.
If you found the information here useful why not be a good friend and share it/ tag your friends? And if you want to read parts 1 and 2 of this series, you can like this Facebook page and go there to read them.
